Welcoming Our Incoming PhD Students: 2026–2027 Cohort

The Trauma and Affective Psychophysiology Lab is thrilled to welcome three outstanding new members to our Clinical Psychology PhD program for the 2026–2027 admission cycle: Annie Farnsworth, Robinson Bouas-Martinet, and Yakiesha Scott.

Gaining admission to a Clinical Psychology PhD program is no small feat. It reflects years of dedication, intellectual curiosity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to understanding and improving the human condition. Each of these students has demonstrated not only academic excellence, but also a deep passion for advancing research and clinical practice in meaningful ways. We recognize the immense effort it takes to reach this milestone, and we are incredibly proud to have them joining our lab.

Annie, Robinson, and Yakiesha each bring unique perspectives, experiences, and research interests that will enrich our community. As a lab dedicated to studying trauma, emotion, and psychophysiological processes, we value diverse ways of thinking and approaching complex questions. We are excited to see how their ideas will shape ongoing projects, inspire new directions, and contribute to the broader field of clinical psychology.

Beyond their scholarly potential, we are equally excited to support their development as clinicians. The journey through a PhD program is one of both professional and personal growth, one that challenges, refines, and ultimately transforms students into thoughtful, skilled, and compassionate practitioners. We look forward to mentoring Annie, Robinson, and Yakiesha as they cultivate their clinical voices, deepen their expertise, and grow into the next generation of psychologists.

Welcome to the lab. We are so excited to have you with us. We cannot wait to see all that you will accomplish.
